Websites look dated within a couple of years so it’s important to stay ahead of the game when it comes to yours. There are so many new website trends coming through in 2022 that, like our blog on Design Trends, we’ve had to write two blogs on them. Welcome to our blog on website trends Part I…
Micro-sites, mini-sites and one-page websites
Launching a new service or product? Or even just a new campaign? Mini/Micro sites are an ideal way to track traffic, disseminate new information or just have fun with your brand. So many brands want to refresh their online presence but keep putting it off because they get bogged down in the pressure of having to publish every detail about themselves. But that isn’t always the case. You just have to give people enough detail to know that you are the one they need to talk to. You can also experiment with new branding by launching a microsite in addition to your existing website. We can help you with everything from microsites through to full ecommerce websites.
In addition to keeping the size of sites simple, 2022 is likely to see a continuation of simplified design. The internet can be a chaotic place at times and, while maximalist and bold trends will certainly have their place next year, people will be drawn to clean, simple design and messaging with plenty of space. After the past few years, the last thing anyone needs is to feel overwhelmed, so we anticipate designing many sites that are calming, with clear messages.
But simple doesn’t have to mean boring. As technology evolves we are finding ever more creative ways to enable users to interact with websites. And we’re not just talking about ‘Chat’ facilities, everything from animated logos to interactive typography can be used to surprise and delight visitors to your website.
Part II of our 2022 web design trends is coming soon but even though we’ve written two blogs on them, there’s still plenty we haven’t had time to talk about here.
