The new year is a perfect time to update your website and because website design evolves every single day, there are so many new trends you can have fun with. So many, in fact, that we’ve had to write two blogs to fit them all in! So here it is – part II of our website trends guide to inspire you in 2022!
Illustrations – with a twist
If you’ve looked at our own branding you’ll know how much we love illustrative design – and we’ve blogged about its many benefits. The new year is likely to see the popularity of illustrative design continue but in more of an abstract way. Collage-like design is a perfect way to mix images and illustration and give sites a more spacious feel, while abstract illustration works brilliantly for brands that are creative, innovative and sophisticated.
Say it loud
While it’s all about keeping things simple in 2022, oversized typography is likely to be popular. People want clean design, white space and clear messages – and you don’t get much clearer than big, bold text. Typography has become the star of the show in recent years and oversized typography is a natural progression of this. You may have your own typography that you want us to work with or you may want us to find the typography that works for your brand – either way we’d love to help you.
Access all areas
The last year has been about showing our customers that we care about them, not just in the products and services that we provide but how we provide them. We’ve blogged before about the importance of accessibility in design and 2022 will see this going further, with it being given the same priority as security and content. Features such as font scaling, contrast, keyboard-navigation, image descriptions and headers will help to make your website accessible to all your customers – and we’d love to help you!
We don’t know what 2022 has in store but we do know that we can start it as we mean to go on, by controlling the things we can. Whether you are thinking of updating your website, refreshing your branding or planning a new campaign – we’d love to support you in making it a success.
