Now the weather is hopefully getting better (*looks for thunder cloud…*), it’s not just sunshine we anticipate seeing more of on our streets – but scooters too! We absolutely loved working with ScooterUp to create the visual identity and website for this fun, new eco-brand. Read all about it here …
ScooterUp provides a range of safe, state-of-the-art electric scooters, bikes and other vehicles for grown-ups at work or play. Their aim is to keep people on the go by using scooters to get around, whether cutting through the city traffic or enjoying the great outdoors. ScooterUp present a fun, faster way to get around that is also environmentally friendly.
The ScooterUp team wanted branding that was fun and new, instantly recognisable and iconic and would attract thrill-seekers, commuters and eco-conscious consumers alike.
Visual identity: We created a typographic logo that acknowledged both the environmental benefits with a leaf and vine graphic for one of the ‘O’s and also the fun element with scooter handlebars as the ‘T’. We went with a vibrant blue to represent freedom and open skies and balanced this with a calming green to represent the eco-friendliness of ScooterUp. We used a scooter icon and a bolt of lightning to represent the power of electric scooters and also the dynamic nature of the brand. We used a horizon-like background to underline the forward-thinking, bigger-picture ethos of ScooterUp.
Website: For the website it was important to get a lot of new information across in a clear and simple way, keeping the fun and dynamic feel of the brand. We used high impact photography, branded icons and info graphic styles to keep the website feeling fresh, clean and easy to navigate whilst also explaining the ScooterUp offering and the high spec of their range of scooters.
ScooterUp are going from strength to strength! They are gathering speed on social media and have just launched a large-scale advertising campaign which is turning a lot of heads. The team is growing all the time and word is spreading thanks to their exciting ‘brand ambassadors’ recruitment campaign and they are getting fantastic reviews everywhere from Instagram to Trustpilot. Not bad for the first six months of trading and we were proud to be a small part of it!
