Many of the design campaigns we are involved with right now, whether print or digital, are forward-looking to a time when it is hoped we will be finding a new normal. With that in mind, here’s our guide the official Pantone colours for Spring/Summer 2021 as well as inspiration on how to use them…
The intoxicating shades of Spring
Bringing to mind the emergence of Spring scents, sights, bulbs and blossom, Pantone have put together a collection of iconic Spring colours. These include a vibrant yellow Lemon Fizz, muted lavenders, a bold aqua called Carnival Grass and a pretty pink called Fairy Wing. This collection is perfect for campaigns or brands with a softer side or messages designed to soothe and reassure.
Powered up and ready to go
Maybe after all the time spent in lockdown you are ready to put your brand out there or make some bold changes? In stark contrast to the above, Pantone come up with this collection called Power Surge. This collection consists of bold primaries like red and blue, along with zingy tropical shades such as Siesta (a coral pink) and Iced Mango. There are green tones to mute and Fairy Wink pink makes another appearance here, along with a daring burgundy. These colours will work brilliantly for brands with a fun, playful side and campaigns designed to grab attention.

Finally, the Summer Bouquet collection has been put together for a fresh palette that reflects the positivity of nature. Pale and muted pinks, such as Pink Suede and Little Piglet, combine with more exotic shades Blush Beauty and Party Pink, while the striking green Pepper Stem and the deep red Winery provide earthier tones, all of which can be lightened with the simple white of Meringue. These colours really complement brands that are ethical and sustainable, as well as those linked to beauty or wellbeing.
