There are several things we are proud of at Marcomedia. One is the quality of work we deliver to our clients, another is being known for reliability and competitive prices. But none of that would be possible without the thing we are most proud of: our team. So this is the first of our Meet the Team series of blogs that will help you get to know us all a little better.
First up, is our resident Web and Graphics Designer, country bumpkin, typeface obsessive and classic rock fan, Liam.
What is a typical day at Marcomedia like for you?
My role within the team at Marcomedia is currently split between print and digital, so one day is never like the last! Marcomedia has a strong team dynamic, and we collaborate a lot on each other’s projects which adds to the variety.
What is your favourite part of the job?
I am an unashamed font nerd. Ideally, I plan on continuing my studies by doing an MA in Typeface design and I genuinely enjoy working with people who share a passion for type.
Which project are you most proud of?
When I was a bright-eyed, bushy-tailed intern, a seminal project I worked on was with People UK, which involved both a web and brochure design. This was a project I saw from start to finish, so it was a big learning curve. The most important thing I’ve learned is to enjoy your work – getting too stressed makes for bad design.
What would be a dream project/client for you?
I’m a massive classic rock fan, so designing an album cover would be pretty nifty. Ozzy! If you’re reading this, hit us up!
Tell us something not a lot of people know about you
I’m a country bumpkin! I’ve only lived in London for about three years, and I’m still not used to the hustle & bustle.
