Continuing our Meet the Team series of blogs, this week we get to know our Graphic Designer, Hayley, a little better. From what keeps her brilliant, creative brain ticking to her love of slick imagery and of appreciation richly-coloured food photography (just don’t ask her to do the washing-up). Take it away, Hayley!
What is a typical day at Marcomedia like for you?
Juggling lots of different tasks, seeing what my colleagues are working on and feeding back my thoughts. Plus plenty of regular snacks to keep my brain ticking!
What is your favourite part of the job?
Every day I work on a different project. One day I could be creating a set of brand guidelines for a local council, the next day a leaflet for a dental practice. Working across a mix of industries also makes my job interesting.
Which project are you most proud of?
I led a brand refresh for an alcoholic drinks stockist. They wanted their brand to feel high-end, so I had a lot of fun designing their magazine to look elegant and choosing slick imagery.
What would be a dream project/client for you?
A dream project would be to design a recipe book. I appreciate food photography that has rich colour and rustic textures. Plus I’d love to look at images of food all day.
Tell us something not a lot of people know about you.
I don’t like drinking tea or coffee. Everyone else in the office can’t get enough of it (but I do get out of the washing up rota).
