While we are full of hope that this Autumn and Winter will be better than last year, we’re also aware that plans may have to change – and quickly. And that’s why the best marketing this Autumn/Winter is adaptable marketing. Over the last year or so we’ve helped clients create flexible design, print and web campaigns that can be changed quickly or remain relevant whatever happens…
Too many opportunities to miss!
The next few months are absolutely packed with opportunities for every brand to reach out to clients. Diwali, Black History Month, Halloween, Fireworks night, Adoption Week, Movember, Children in Need, Hanukkah and the countdown to Christmas and New Year. And those are just a few of them. Whether it’s digital advertising, emailers, ecards, catalogues, brochures, landing pages, ecommerce sites, direct mail, cards, calendars, large print, branded gifts or something completely different – every brand can find a reason to contact their customers over the next few weeks. And we’d love to help you do it!
Mindful messaging
The most cost-effective way to create adaptable marketing in this new normal is to ensure that your messaging is applicable whatever happens. Which is easier said than done but not impossible. One way of doing this is to simply tackle the elephant in the room head-on. Your customers are as aware as you are that we are in a much better position than we were last year but there is still some uncertainty over the coming months so you can be positive about the future while also being realistic. If you are planning an event, also stream it online. If you are a non-essential retailer, reassure them that they can also buy from you online. If you are taking hospitality bookings, have a lockdown contingency such as a delivery or take-away service or conversion of bookings into gift cards to be redeemed at a later date.
But if things do change
Consider the media you are using. If you are doing email campaigns or social media advertising these can be changed quickly. If you are using print, consider printing in smaller batches so that you can edit your messaging if you need to. Print technology means that you can print smaller quantities in a much more cost-effective way now. We have many years’ print experience and would love to offer you impartial advice.
However you decide to do it, the next few months will provide marketing opportunities that are too good to miss – especially after the year we’ve all had and in the current climate of public support for small businesses.
