Spring and Summer marketing trends 2022

Spring and Summer marketing trends 2022

Spring is officially here (whatever the weather) and summer will be hot on its heels! Continuing our Spring-inspiration (or ‘Springspiration’ which has never caught on despite our best efforts) themed blogs, here are some of the marketing trends you can expect to see blossoming in the coming months…

Invest time and money in your brand

According to Better Marketing as the cost of digital advertising rises, your investment in it will need to grow (we design digital adverts for a range of brands and can help you with this). However, they also suggest investing time in making your digital content something that organically engages your customers. This might be in the form of infographics, awareness-raising campaigns, podcasts – anything that helps to educate your customers will immediately increase your credibility and our web team is ready to advise you.

Email marketing will continue to get more intelligent

We’ve blogged in the past about the importance of personalisation and targeting when it comes to e-campaigns. Developing this theme, we suspect that 2022 will be the year that e-mail campaigns become even more sophisticated, bringing in interactive elements such as polls and quizzes. The best e-campaigns work both ways – giving your customers information that feels relevant to them right now, as well as collecting data from them that can be used to hone future campaigns. We’ve designed emailers for brands of all sizes and would love to help you with yours over the coming months!

Keep on making it personal

For years marketing was all about what we wanted to say but, as we’ve mentioned above, these days the success of marketing depends on sending the right message to the right person at the right time. It’s about what they want to hear. We are living through some truly turbulent times and the world is changing around us on an almost weekly basis. So, it’s more important than ever to understand your customers’ headspace and take a flexible approach to your messages so that they are appropriate and timely. If we learned one thing during the pandemic it was how to ‘pivot’ – and fast. The most effective form of marketing is to combine digital and print (think: sending personalised direct mail promotions to customers based on abandoned items in their online shopping basket) and advances in technology have made short print runs accessible to everyone. We’d love to provide you with a free quote or just impartial advice.
