Pantone has announced a vibrant new palette of 16 Spring colours which we think you’ll love. Here’s our guide to them, along with some inspiration for how you might use them in your organisation …
Not a million miles away from the red in our logo, we love this vibrant colour which according to Pantone is “demanding attention” “courageous” “never to be ignored” and “viscerally alive”. This colour is great with other bolds for pop-art or retro designs or just a small accent of it can add a hint of vitality to a brand that wants to be seen as both professional and fun.
Meadowlark, Pink Lavender, Blooming Dahlia and Almost Mauve are perfect for menus, banners or promotional gifts for seasonal events like Easter or Mother’s Day, as well as branding for businesses with a softer side such as those in the Care, Beauty or Wellbeing sectors.
As you might expect, there are some gorgeous eye-popping brights among Pantone’s selected Spring 2018 colours. Lime Punch, Spring Crocus, Ultra Violet, Little Boy Blue and Arcadia are all striking colours guaranteed to inject a bit of Spring into the step of anyone who sees them. These would be great for flyers or Spring/Summer brochures and catalogues. The popularity of teal and cyan colours shows no sign of waning and Arcadia satisfies this but is described as “cooler and cleaner” and “taking us into a new direction for the Spring 2018 season.”
Chili Oil and the rich chocolatey Emperador aren’t just for eateries, they add earthy tones to the collection and could ground a vibrant design or give substance to a pastel one.
The 12 new shades for Spring are accompanied by a palette of classic nautical and muted seaside tones comprised of Sailor Blue, Harbour Mist, Warm Sand and Coconut Milk. You could put these classics together in a postcard or an emailer and instantly have clients making associations with sand dunes and salty air. Alternatively, you could use them in combination with the other colours to add a touch of calming or invigorating sea breeze to any Spring/Summer campaign.
We can advise you on any colour palette all year round if Spring isn’t your thing. And not only can we advise you on design, we can also advise you on print and web too. We’re ready to spring into action for you, so give us a call on 0208 590 0922 or email us at email@example.com
