In focus: Fitness industry marketing motivation

If you run a fitness or wellbeing business, the chances are this is one of your busiest times of year as customers clamour to be ‘beach-ready’. Here are some hints on keeping them motivated and coming back for more when the holidays are over…

Become a lean, mean marketing machine

Arguably, the two peaks in any fitness professional’s calendar will be Spring/Summer and the New Year. But what about those quiet times when the resolutions fade, holidays are over, the hibernating instincts kick in and people give up completely in the countdown to Christmas? In other words – how can you keep your clients motivated and attract new ones throughout the year?

Look good, feel great

As you no doubt tell your clients, fitness and wellbeing is about more than looks. But as you will also probably have witnessed time and again, a change in appearance can have a profound effect on confidence and self-perception – and can often lead to positive changes in other areas. All of this applies to marketing your business. If your business looks good, you are going to feel great about it and more motivated to reach out to old and new clients. We can help you with:

  • Branding and visual identity
  • Brand refreshes or updates
  • Websites and digital marketing
  • Social media profiles and images
  • Cards, flyers and print
  • Advertising
  • Brochures
  • Branded clothing
  • Banners and signage
  • Anything else that will make you feel great about your business

Inform and inspire

Whether you are a personal trainer or a large leisure centre you need quality content to engage with clients and customers all year round. Identify your target markets, then use e-books, blogs, newsletters, e-mailers and print campaigns to capture their attention, inform and inspire them. Keep in regular contact with relevant information and plan offers and discounts for the times you are likely to be quietest. The more personal your content, the more it will engage. Why not use your current client base to research when and why they feel least motivated and what would motivate them at those times?

(Don’t) Feel the burn

Effective marketing doesn’t necessarily mean burning through a big budget. In fact, like exercise, little and often can be just as good. We can help you with everything from budget-friendly boosts to larger planned campaigns, such as:

  • Social media images
  • Mailchimp and emailers
  • Flyers, vouchers and loyalty cards
  • Advertising
  • Brochures
  • Digital marketing and motivational apps
