Focus Photography Training was launched to provide expert dental photography training to clients in the dental sector in order to help them maximise their profit potential and turnover through strategic use of photography. It was established by Cheryl Tonkinson who has many years’ experience in the dental sector, working with celebrities and referred patients as Practice Manager, Treatment Coordinator and photographer.
We worked with founder Cheryl to identify the styles that she preferred and felt were appropriate for her business, both now and in the future. Cheryl liked simple, streamlined logos, such as Chanel and Gucci, and was less keen on logos with a lot of colour. She liked the idea of a typographic logo that conveyed what she did but wanted a photography rather than dental theme. As this was a new business, Cheryl needed branding, business cards and a website.
What we delivered
We went with a sans-serif font, which are often associated with more contemporary and modern brands (as opposed to serif fonts which are more traditional) to create a typographic logo for Cheryl. The monochrome colours are classic and help the ‘O’ shutter icon stand out. Cheryl’s website continues this classic but contemporary feel with black and white photography and flashes of orange throughout. We reversed the logo to make it white on black and used the shutter icon as a standalone ‘Favicon’ for the website tab.
Cheryl was really pleased with her branding, Focus Photography Training was successfully launched and is going from strength to strength thanks to Cheryl’s skill and many years’ unique industry experience!
