In what we think could be a world-first, we’ve decided to run a boutique virtual blog festival experience. There’s no mud or rain or queues, just sunny summer vibes. And you’re invited – in fact YOU ARE HERE. Just sit back, read on and then casually tell all your friends you’ve been to an exclusive boutique virtual micro-festival this year and watch them look shocked at how hipster and on-trend you are….
Family fun
You stroll through a beautiful archway of tropical flowers and into a soft-focus meadow of brilliant, exciting-yet-educational family activities. There’s a samba band (playing at just the right volume), a circus skills workshop, crafts and free ice creams for everyone. All the families are getting along, everyone wants to be there and there is no bickering. Kids are having the time of their lives, grandparents are loving it and you can just relax in a deckchair with a refreshing drink.
While you’re relaxing someone hands you a flyer. You take a look at it and this is what it says:

Artisan market
Time for some lunch and a wander. You stroll along a row of market stalls, each of them offering your favourite-ever foods, along with handmade gifts at surprisingly reasonable prices.
As you bite into a generous gourmet halloumi wrap made exactly how you like it, accompanied by the best chips you’ve ever had, you notice a banner saying:

The support acts
Sated and sun-warmed, you settle on a rug at sunset for some superb support acts. They just happen to be a performance by your favourite comedian and the first ever gig by a new band you absolutely love (who go on to become the biggest band in the world but you don’t know this yet). The compere is none other than our founder, Surinder. He walks onto the (Marcomedia branded) stage to rapturous applause and says,
“Ladies and gentlemen, please show your support for our support acts! Speaking of support, we’re proud to have supported hundreds of start-ups, local businesses and big brands (and even many other agencies!) over the last 12 years with competitive, creative design, print and web that has taken them from support acts to headliners. None of this would have happened without your support so please show your support once again for our headline act!”
The headliners
Just when you think this festival can’t get any better, it turns out that the headliner is your favourite DJ from when you were a teenager. The sun goes down as you dance the night away with all your new friends, celebrating the best festival ever. As you drive/walk away (there are no queues), you notice a large billboard on the way out that says:
