The end of the year is often a time to reflect. While we’ve absolutely loved working with some very big names in 2018, either directly or via our creative agency clients, the projects we’re often most proud of are the ones that make a real difference to our communities…
We blogged recently about the vital work that SEVA Street volunteers are doing to help local homeless and vulnerable people access food, water and services that may be able to help them. SEVA Street need businesses, clubs and individuals to sponsor their work and this would be excellent charity to adopt for Christmas or as your Charity of the Year 2019.
Delete Blood Cancer is a charity that raises awareness of blood cancer and blood disorders, recruits potential blood stem cell donors and raise funds for vital therapy and research. It was founded by Dr Peter Harf in honour of his wife who sadly lost her battle with blood cancer. In the UK, someone is diagnosed with blood cancer every 20 minutes and this is a charity especially close to our hearts. Since Delete Blood Cancer have been campaigning in the UK, they have registered an amazing 400,000+ potential donors and given over 500 chances of a second life to patients. We’re proud to have been a very small part of this by helping replicate branding for local publicity drives and supplying design, print and digital marketing.
Redbridge Mayor’s Charities of the Year
We were very proud to support Redbridge Mayor’s Charities of the year with fundraising event materials including flyers and show guides. The chosen charities for 2017/18 were Healthy Living Projects which helps a huge range of people from children and families, to homeless and socially isolated people to older people, and Vibrance, which enables local people with a range of disabilities to have a greater voice and presence in their community.
We were very proud to have supplied event materials to Success Charity which conducts vital research into growing numbers of children who have survived brain tumours, to determine lasting effects so that a better service can be provided to children and their families. Success is now a split-site operation at University College London Hospitals and Great Ormond Street Hospital – an organisation who we are proud to have helped fundraise for on many occasions.
FFLV is a charity that provides free education, meals, training and medical help to 1500 girls in the Vrindavan area of India, empowering them to change their lives and communities. We are proud to have provided design and event materials to FFLV to help them raise awareness of the important work they are doing.
Age UK, helps over 7million older people in the UK every year, many of whom would have no one else to turn to for advice and practical support. Age UK also campaigns and lobbies for better care provisions and support services so that people can love later life and because ‘no one should have no one to turn to’. We helped a contact publish a book to raise money for Age UK and supplied branding, cover design and promotional materials.
We are looking forward to supplying design, print and web to many charities and third sector organisations in 2019. If you have a cause, event or campaign you want to promote, give our team a call today on 0208 590 0922 or email us at info@marcomedia.co.uk
