As the roadmap out of lockdown continues, our thoughts turn to our lovely waterfront HQ at Expressway and all the friendly faces and amazing businesses there. It’s not been easy for any of us – or for independent businesses anywhere. With happier, more hopeful times ahead, we thought we’d dedicate this week’s blog to our neighbouring businesses who have weathered this storm with us. So, in no particular order…
Expressway
First up, a shout out to the people who run Expressway London where our little hub of creativity is located. Not only have they consistently improved our surroundings until it’s become the beautiful, contemporary waterside space it is today, they’ve also continuously made it safer and easier to follow guidelines. But on top of that, they’ve kept our spirits up in tough times with little tips on local takeaway/delivery services, online yoga – you name it. They are also investing in the local community with youth mentoring and incubator programmes. Good Vibes London / Perky Blenders
Next stop is the place we always stop – our beloved Good Vibes London / Perky Blenders collaborative takeaway. Times have been particularly tough for any food/drink businesses – but particularly independent ones. And yet they stay true to their name – always ready with a smile and good vibes – and amazing locally produced food. We just love the stories about their latest products which you can buy for all your friends and family online so you can not only support them – but support the other local businesses they work with. We’ve saved one of our most fun neighbours for last. Husk Brewing brew amazing beer right here at Expressway and, when restrictions permit, serve it along with absolutely shameless burgers, loaded fries and other things we hate ourselves for lovin’ (they also do amazing home-made lemonade).
