Keeping students engaged

But one of the key concerns of teachers is keeping students engaged. Research shows that one way to do this might be to get their input into creating digital resources. Finding balance
Teachers don’t just have to ensure children are doing well academically, they need to ensure that they are doing well emotionally. This has always been a challenge to say the least but perhaps even more so during lockdown where so many things have changed for children and their families. If children are stressed or worried they can’t learn properly but finding out how they are feeling from a distance can be difficult. Simple visual emotional designs can help children express how they are feeling and encourage class discussion – even if it’s just emoticons or some ‘draw your feelings’ art tasks at the beginning of lessons. Teachers need support too! It is more important than ever that you look after your wellbeing at this time, particularly if you work in the education sector.
