It’s that time of year again – the season is turning, the new term is starting and the back-to-school marketing is either making us reminisce or rush out and buy shoes, shirts and pencil cases. And this year we are at (hopefully) the tail end of a pandemic and what has been a challenging time for everyone. If ever there was a time for fresh new brand or campaign, it would be Autumn 2021. We’ve put together some inspiration for your fresh new image…
When the likes of branding icons such as Visa and Campbells Soup start switching things up, you know others will follow suit and things are going to start changing rapidly when it comes to design trends. Two key trends are likely to be logo adaptability and logo simplification because your brand needs to work across so many different mediums and channels – from websites and Instagram to print. Simple branding also makes your logo more recognisable and memorable. One of the things that will most quickly make a brand look out of touch is a complicated logo.
Small changes, big impact
You don’t necessarily need to change your entire branding to bring it up to date. A small tweak here or there can simplify it and make it much more adaptable. We are always happy to give clients a ‘visual identity audit’ to identify where we can help them by making their brand more current, relevant and professional.
Advertise to survive
A recent study shows that when businesses stop advertising, sales decline. Understandably, many businesses paused their marketing when the pandemic hit. The research looked at the advertising spend of 70 brands over 20 years and found that when brands stopped advertising for one year sales dropped by an average of 16%, which increased to 25% after two years and 36% after three years.
