As the world spends ever more time online it may come as no surprise that creating beautiful, functional websites and scroll-stopping digital advertising is something that we are proud to spend a lot of our time doing here at Marco HQ. Nostalgia. Yep – we have nostalgic web design now

The first website was made live 32 years ago. And now we feel officially old. So, it makes sense that website design, like all trends, would experience waves of nostalgia. This particular retro trend finds inspiration in the web design at the turn of the century. Because websites back then loaded slowly, funky flat-colour sticker-like labels and shapes were used to fill white space quickly. This look is perfect for young, fun brands wanting something that feels cool, whimsical, edgy and will appeal to the huge hipster market.

 

Design that stands out. Literally

At the other end of the scale, increasingly clever use of shading in web design has evolved into a trend for designs that look 3D. From 3D illustrations to typography, we can help you create websites that stand out from your competitors’ – literally.

 

Video killed the radio star
